NCAT'S 30th Anniversary SustainabilityFEST in 2007 was a great success with 45 exhibitors and vendors from across Montana showcasing sustainable products, services and information.

Our panels of 16 speakers presented on topics ranging from organic gardening to green building to wine tasting and were well attended.

With help from our partners, Staples and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, three large truckloads of electronic waste were gathered for Butte's first ever computer and electronic waste recycling day. NCAT has been recognized for this electronics recycling event. Certificates of appreciation were given by the MTDEQ to Staples, the National Center for Appropriate Technology and others for helping to organize the computer and electronics recycling in August 2006.

Local auto dealers provided a nice display of hybrid and flex fuel vehicles, kids waited eagerly for s'mores to cook in their homemade solar ovens, and attendees enjoyed local food and live entertainment. The SustainabilityFEST gave attendees the opportunity to gather information about cutting energy bills, buying local foods and recycling. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped to make our 30th anniversary a special event!
