11am - Noon and 2 - 3pmAttend a guided tour of NCAT's free-standing solar greenhouse, rain-water catchement system, native grass demonstration plots and composting bins. Learn how to add these low-cost sustainable projects into your own backyard. Each tour is limited to 40 people.Spinning DemonstrationWatch natural fiber be handspun into knitting and weaving materials. Bring the kids to see animals from which these fibers are collected, including lambs and goats!S.A.V.E. FoundationThe S.A.V.E. Foundation (www.savemobile.org) will demonstrate making biodiesel from vegetable oil.Hybrid Car DisplayLocal car dealers will have a selection of hybrid and flex-fuel vehicles on display!Vermicomposting
12-12:30pm and 3-3:30pmLearn from NCAT’s Jeff Schahczenski how to get worms to eat your garbage (vermicomposting) and make wonderful fertilizer for your plants.
